School to Re-Open Wednesday 15 February

Kia Ora everyone,

I hope you are safe and well.  This has certainly been a very trying time for my family.   The strong winds have caused havoc.  Roads and driveways have been blocked and trees have fallen on houses and fences.   I know that some of you have similar experiences and in some cases worse ones.
If you need help please let me know.
The good news is that the school is open.  A couple of trees have fallen, other than that the property is undamaged.
Please send your children to school tomorrow if it is safe for you to do so.  Let your child’s teacher know if your child needs support.
There will be a newsletter tomorrow.  The basketball meeting has been postponed as well as the Year 1 Reading Workshop.  Watch out for details in the newsletter tomorrow.
I am looking forward to seeing your children.
Nga mihi nui

Year 6 Camp has been Postponed

Kia ora everyone
I hope that everyone is keeping safe at home.  Unfortunately due to the terrible weather conditions, I have decided to postpone Camp.
MERC will look at their Camp bookings in the next few days and let us know when St Paul’s School Camp can happen later in the year.
While I am sure that the children are very disappointed I feel that this is the right decision in the circumstances.
Nga mihi nui,
Mary Zellman

School Closed 13-14 February Due to Cyclone

Kia Ora everyone

I have been closely monitoring the cyclone and the likely impact so based on the current advice from Auckland Emergency Management, Met Service and the Secretary of Education the decision has been made to close the school for Monday 13 February and Tuesday 14 February.

Parents of Year 6 students we will let you know what will happen with Camp.  This may still go ahead depending on what happens with the weather.  If the camp does not happen we will organise for it to happen later in the year.

Please keep safe and I Look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday.

Regards

Mary Zellman
